Ilana may have been on her knees but she was driving Gabriel’s world, his body at the mercy of her tongue swirling around his cock.

He let out a tortured groan and spread his fingers through the wet hair at the nape of her neck. Ilana enjoyed the pressure as he tightened his grip – encouraging, not overpowering. If anything it felt like he was holding her back, slowing the dip of her head.

She liked knowing she could easily take him over the brink if she wanted.

He tightened his fingers over her scalp then pulled her up to her feet, consuming her mouth in a savage kiss that took her breath away. All she could do was hang on as he unleashed a side she’d suspected underneath his cultivated demeanor.

“I’d like to fuck you now,” he growled in her ear.

She squirmed against him. “Yes, please.”

“Not here, though.” He turned off the water. “I’m moving this party to the bed.”

“Yes, xir,” Ilana quipped as she stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her shoulders. She gasped as he came up behind her and gripped her ass.

“Careful,” he murmured. “I kind of like the sound of that.”

He let her go with a smack on her bottom.

Fuck. Ilana was so turned on she couldn’t tell if the wetness between her legs was from the shower or her. She crossed the lounge to the bedroom, drying off the rest of her body and casting the towel aside as she crawled onto the massive bed.

She turned onto her back and stretched out her limbs like a starfish as Gabriel joined her from the doorway, his cock bobbing at half-mast, ready for another revving.

He tilted his head, his appreciative gaze raking over her. “Now that’s a lovely view.”

“This is seriously the biggest bed I’ve ever been on.”

“I wasn’t talking about the bed.” He approached and considered her. Before Ilana could ask, he grabbed her by the ankle and dragged her closer to him at the edge of the bed. She let out the most undignified squeal that succumbed to moans as soon he lowered to his knees next to the mattress and sealed his mouth over her clit.

Nothing out of her mouth after that point had any coherence at all. Gabriel wasted no time teasing her now, the warm suction of his lips sending waves of pleasure over her, setting a rhythm that rapidly sent her over another climax. She held nothing back as she rode his face through one crest then another, and another, and another.

He gradually spread out the strokes of his tongue as Ilana’s soul returned to her body. Her limbs twitched with aftershocks and she went limp with a sigh.

Gabriel moved over her sated body until they were eye to eye. Ilana framed her hands on either side of his face and brought him down for a tender kiss.

His hips settled between her spread legs, which she brought up to support his weight. She ran her palms down his back and buttocks then took his hard cock in one hand, his skin hot and taut. She guided him to her entrance, slicking his tip with her arousal.

He deepened their kiss as he entered her, slowly. So slowly that Ilana squirmed, unable to stop the desperate sounds coming from her throat. Her entire body felt like a live nerve, charged and ready to fire at the slightest sensation. And the sensation she wanted most was to feel all of him fill every inch of her aching pussy.

He took his time but he delivered – stretching her to the limit to take him in, hitting a deep note of bliss at her core.

He paused. “You okay?”

“Yes, yes,” she gasped.

Gabriel pulled back. Ilana wrapped her legs around him and clutched his shoulders as he thrust into her again with a smooth slide and a piercing bolt of pleasure. He buried his face in her neck as he pumped into her faster, harder. She urged him on with her hips, angling to take him in deeper. His breath turned ragged as he swelled inside of her, his low grunts mixing with her cries, joining her off a cliff of ecstasy.

They remained entangled in shudders and spasms as she cradled him between her legs, their bodies coming down spent and content, his weight grounding her so her mind could float in the afterglow. His thumb absently stroked her forehead.

She glided her fingernails up and down either side of his spine. He propped himself up on his elbows over her and wordlessly they considered each other.

It only then occurred to Ilana how searingly intimate the encounter had become, like an express train with no local stops she’d boarded without realizing, looking up to find herself far beyond anywhere she recognized. She saw the same awareness pass over his face, his gaze penetrating, studying her as if seeing her in a new light. She felt utterly exposed – he’d slipped past layers she hadn’t even had a chance to construct with him.

And yet she felt safe. Either one of them could’ve turned away from the other by now. It would’ve been the easier option, all things told, like looking away from too bright a light. Instead, Gabriel lowered to kiss her and Ilana accepted, letting his warmth fill her in the aftermath of everything they’d poured into each other.

He rolled off of her but took her along as he turned on his back and pulled her to his chest, hand grasping her shoulder. She flung an arm and leg over his torso and they lay entangled in silence until Ilana could feel herself coming down to earth.

Except… she was no longer on Earth.

“What is it?” Gabriel asked, examining her face.

Ilana realized she’d furrowed her brow, which wasn’t the most encouraging expression after sex. “Does the term ‘coming down to earth’ even apply in space?”

His lips quirked in a smile as he considered the point. “I would say yes. There are plenty of idioms that have lost their literal meanings over time.”

Ilana found it endearing that he was already back to triple-syllable words. “Like… running out of steam?”

“Or hanging up on someone.”

“Hmm.” She hummed and played with a coil of his hair at his temple.

Tomorrow they would go their separate ways, the unbelievable day they spent together crystallized in her memory like a fever dream. Even if they kept in touch, Ilana would be going to her project past the asteroid belt. She had no idea what his life was even like. She carried no expectation that they would see each other again – at least not soon.

Of course, this had been Ilana’s method of operation for years. She’d chosen the travelers and tourists for a reason. Even those who came to the region on a semi-regular basis for business posed no danger of rooting her in place.

She’d called them her satellite lovers – coming around at different times on different orbits. Parting with some of them had been bittersweet at times. For each genuine connection, she’d made just as many unremarkable or forgettable ones. But this was the first time Ilana felt sincerely sad at her inevitable separation from a hookup.

The feeling became overwhelming if she thought about it too long, with too many meanings to unravel. Ilana rolled off the bed to the bathroom. Maybe the intensity they shared made sense in light of their near-death experience earlier that day.

Gabriel had propped himself up on the pillows when Ilana returned. She lingered in the doorway. “Why do you think those kids were the way they are?”

He sat up with his legs splayed, elbows resting on his knees. “I’m not sure. Some sort of anti-aging therapy experiment gone wrong?”

She shook her head absently. “I didn’t know any of the kids who disappeared on the frontier. But my parents knew some of their families.”

He reached out his hand to her after she trailed off. “What is it?”

Ilana took his hand as she climbed onto the mattress. He guided her to lay in his lap, gathering her close to his chest as he leaned back on the pillows, her legs folded over his.

She curled up into the warmth of his skin. “We would lose people in storms. At least several per year. Usually people caught on the road or who refuse to evacuate. And their kids.”

Ilana felt the rumble of Gabriel’s voice in his chest as he spoke. “A category 8 hurricane sounds like a great cover for kidnapping.”

For a while they sat in silence, skin to skin, breath to breath, staying present through featherlight touches. She had so much she could say to him about what they’d been through and yet she didn’t have to say anything because he knew, too.

Her hands began to wander, exploring him with renewed desire, an urgency to connect. He responded with a strong and steady grip, supporting her neck as he lined her throat with kisses that sent her squirming. She moaned as he lowered over her breasts and took one nipple into his mouth, sucking gently before letting the cool air pucker her moist skin. She arched as his lips sealed over her other nipple, a little more insistent this time. She gasped, her pussy clenching at the jolt of pleasurepain.

Ilana uttered a plea – for what, she wasn’t sure. Comfort, closeness… something that kept the demons at bay while her world veered off its axis.

Gabriel seemed to understand, his other hand traveling up the inside of her thigh and teasing apart the folds of her sex. He entered her with one finger then two, his thumb applying gentle pressure against the sensitive nub of her clit.

When his fingers moved inside her she gyrated into his touch, the sensation driving her body as if she’d given him the controls. Her eyes rolled closed and she let him set the pace, surrendering to the crest of pleasure he unleashed, her toes curling and popping.

When she opened her eyes he was watching her face, his lashes heavy over his eyes. “You look beautiful when you come for me like that,” he murmured.

The possessive struck her like a dramatic chord in a song – impossible to ignore. Ilana’s mind reared up against the audacity of his words but her pussy twitched in response. He curled his fingers inside of her again and she moaned, wriggling in his arms.

He withdrew his hand, his finger leaving a wet trail down the inside of her thigh.

Ilana twisted to straddle him and he fell back against the pillows. She wasn’t used to letting anyone dominate her for long. He didn’t fight her shifting the tide, laying in wait for her next move, his arms still at his sides.

She ran her finger down from the dip of his clavicle between his pecs then spread out her palm over the dark hair on his chest – right over his heart.
